Hikaru Miyake, aka the Flying Japman, is a Japanese music producer and DJ living in Tokyo.

Hikaru became interested in electronic music when he was a teenager. He got a Clavia's Nord Lead and Yamaha DX7 at the age of 20, and started creating music. Hikaru, however, gradually moved away from music to concentrate on school, giving up all of his synthesizers.

In around 2009, Hikaru started creating music again, mainly using Cubase and Native Instruments' software synthesizer. In 2009, he released music from 2E2L Recordings. Hikaru has been releasing music since then, including an EP released from AOA Recordings in 2011.
In 2011, his Ancestor Worship (Original Mix) ranked 30th on the iTunes Dance Music chart (Japan), and his Ants Chronicle (Original Mix) ranked in Anthony Rother's DJ chart of BeatPort.

Hikaru's music is based on minimal and techno beats, but has beautiful melodies influenced by Detroit techno and pleasant chords that work like deep house music.He has a great knowledge of chill out music, particularly downtempo, electronica, ambient and IDM, as well as dance floor tracks with a 4/4 kick beat.

１０代の頃から電子音楽に興味を持っていた彼は２０歳の時にClavia "Nord Lead"やYAMAHA"DX7"などを手に入れ楽曲制作を始めた。 その後、学業のためすべてのシンセサイザーを手放し次第に音楽から遠ざかった。
しかし2009年頃にCubaseとNative Instruments社のソフトウェアシンセを中心に再び音楽制作を始め、2009年に2E2L Recordingsより楽曲をリリースすることとなり、 その後もコンスタントにリリースを続け2011年にはAOA RecordingsよりＥＰをリリース。
2011年初頭にAncestor Worship (Original Mix)がiTunes ダンスチャートで30位、同年2月にAnts Chronicle (Original Mix)がBeatPortのAnthony RotherのDJチャートにランクインされる。
彼の作る楽曲はテクノ、ミニマルのビートメイキングを基本としながらもデトロイトテクノに影響された美しい旋律とディープハウスにも通じる心地よいコードワーク が特徴的なものが多い。 4打ちのフロア用のトラックのみではなくチルアウトミュージック、特にダウンテンポ、エレクトロニカ、アンビエント、ＩＤＭなどにも 造詣が深い。
