Manabu Kitabori is a bar manager at Club Solfa in Nakameguro, Tokyo and is also a DJ.
The music he creates out of the turntable is so smooth that it even evolutes into any genre of four-beat music without giving hesitation.He uses Ableton Live and AKAI APC40 controller mixing various sorts of music which makes him very unique and full of originality.
Because he has been working behind the bar at many clubs for years he has listened to all kinds of music and DJs and this valuable experience encourages him to create an aggressive yet sensitive beat.
He loves putting Wadaiko, Japanese drums and Shamisen, a Japanese three- string guitar into his music which makes him just like a Japanese Samurai in the DJ booth.
He is a resident DJ of SPACE CRUISIN’ at TOKYO Shibuya WOMB as one of the members of BlackRussian, a DJ duo. He also plays at PURPLE FUNCTION, TOKYO Shinkiba ageHa as Manabu Kitabori.
He creates music tracks both as BlackRussian and Manabu Kitabori merging Japanese traditional music and modern techno music.



DJスタイルはAbleton liveとAKAIのコントローラーAPC40とLPD8を使用し、その場その場で様々な音、LOOP素材、エフェクトを組み合わせ操る即興プレイスタイル。独特でオリジナリティ溢れる。
リリースをしたオリジナルトラックは日本古来の楽器などをスパイスに制作されており、斬新な日本人らしいダンスミュージックを堪能できる。ジャンル分けをするのであればTechno,Minimal,Tech houseになるが、毎曲ジャンルでは縛れないサウンドが生み出されている。
2011年5月には韓国Seoulにて行なわれたセミナーAttention CLUB DJ seminarにもゲスト講師として講演をするなど多種多彩で、Seoulに完成した4000人規模を誇るアジア最大級のビッグクラブELLUIに日本人では３人目としてのプレイを果たすなど、国境を越えた同じ志を持つ仲間達とギグやお互いの楽曲のリミックスなど日本に留まらず世界を見据え活動中のアーティスト。
